JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
The successful candidate will be responsible to provide continuous monitoring and management of both unclassified and classified networks. Provide rapid recovery of network outages and conduct network maintenance while receiving work direction from the Network Operations Lead. Execute conference calls for assigned maintenance activities and outages. Update and resolve outages and maintenance using Service Manager ticketing system. Generate reports as required for review by the Network Operations Lead for assigned outages. Personnel will be responsible in understanding and ensuring compliance for meeting critical Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

|
JOB SKILLS:
|
- Minimum of 3 years of demonstrated past work experience as a network administrator with responsibilities in operating and maintaining both a classified and unclassified government network infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of network monitoring tools (i.e., HP Network Node Manager and HP Network Automation, Solarwinds).
- Demonstrated work experience troubleshooting network outages.
- Demonstrated work experience upgrading Cisco Routers and Switch IOS.
- Demonstrated work experience with IOS CLI and basic commands used to troubleshoot.
- Demonstrated work experience using tools such as ping, traceroute, etc. to isolate network issues and outages.
- Demonstrated work experience working with access control list (ACLs).
- Knowledge of STP, VLANs, VTP, DTP, and LACP, CDP, 802.1Q, ISL, and port security.
-Demonstrated work experience with Cisco 1800, 2800, 3800, 3900, 7200 routers.
-Demonstrated work experience with Cisco 2900, 3750, 4500, 6500 switches.
