JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
|
|
Candidates for Network Administrator positions will provide continuous pro-active monitoring and management of the unclassified, classified, and WAN Transport networks. Network Administrators are responsible for rapid recovery of network outages and conducting network maintenance while receiving work direction from the Tier 2 Operations Manager. Candidates will execute conference calls for assigned maintenance activities and outages, along with updating and resolving outages and maintenance using the Service Manager ticketing system. Network Administrators will be responsible for understanding and ensuring compliance in meeting critical Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

JOB SKILLS:
|
- Troubleshooting network outages
- Troubleshooting testing various WAN circuits (Serial T1, DS3, OC3, OC192, Ethernet TLS)
- Upgrading Cisco Routers and Switch IOS software
- IOS CLI and basic commands used to troubleshoot
- Using tools such as ping, traceroute, etc. to isolate network issues and outages
- Working with access control list (ACLs)
- Creating and updating tickets and reports related to network problems, issues, and trends
- Working with STP, VLANs, VTP, DTP, and LACP, CDP, 802.1Q, and port security
